Delivered by our qualified and experienced instructors.

Attend one of our avalanche safety courses, tailored to meet your needs, and you will learn cutting edge and up to date techniques for snowpack assessment, plus get up to date on transceiver searching and shovelling to maximise your chance of a successful outcome in the case of an avalanche accident.

We offer two avalanche safety courses (ASC):

ASC – Level 1 is a short introductory course of 1.5 days.
ASC – Level 2 is a 4 day course that will expand your knowledge for the backcountry.

Avalanche Skills Course – Level 1

ASC 1

A short course tailored those wanting to know the basics of understanding weather, snowpack assessment, terrain analysis, avalanche equipment and rescue techniques. An absolute must before starting your Back Country Adventures.

 

Ski Touring Combo

An extra days ski touring aimed at further education around identifying and moving through avalanche terrain, understanding weather and applying avalanche forecast bulletins to your trip planning.

Avalanche Skills Course – Level 2

Backcountry Avalanche

This course is specifically tailored to enhance and expand your knowledge on avalanche education, skills, and overall experience. Through our meticulously crafted curriculum, spanning over a course duration of 4 days, you will have the opportunity to acquire invaluable expertise in terrain analysis and movement, snowpack, weather and rescue.

As a fundamental component of this MSC accredited Backcountry Avalanche Course, we are committed to taking you out into the heart of the backcountry on a daily basis. This immersive approach allows you to learn directly from our highly experienced and professional guides, empowering you with the necessary tools to make sound judgments and decisions during your exhilarating mountain tours.
